Igor Golovatenko (Baritone)

Graduated from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire with a degree in conducting (Gennady Rozhdenstvensky’s class).
Has studied solo singing with Dmitry Vdovin at the Choral Academy.
In 2007, he made his debut at the Moscow’s theatre Novaya Opera performing the part of Marullo (Rigoletto).

He took part in master classes and concerts of the International School of Singing.

In 2006, he took part in the first Russian performance of Delius’ A Mass of Life (Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Vladimir Spivakov).
In 2007, he performed the baritone part in Rakhmaninov’s The Bells in Yaroslavl (Yaroslavl Symphony Orchestra, conductor Murad Annamamedov).
In 2008, he took part in a concert performance of Il Viaggio a Reims at the Moscow International House of Music and at the Durance Luberon festival, France.
In 2009, he took part in concert performances of Carmen (Russian National Orchestra, conductor Mikhail Pletnev) and Romeo et Juliette (Novaya Rossiya orchestra) in Moscow. In the same year he took part in the Russian National Orchestra Festival in Moscow.

In 2010, he made his Bolshoi Theatre debut as Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus).

Awards

First prize-winner at the 6th international competition of piano and vocal duets Three Centuries of Classical Romance (St. Petersburg, 2008).
