Dmitry Belyanushkin (Stage Director)
Born in Saransk. In 2012 he completed his studies
at the Russian Academy of the Performing Arts (GITIS) (faculty
of music theatre, Alexander Titel and Igor Yazulovich studio), and started
post graduate work. In 2011, he produced Monteverdi’s opera
L’incoronazione di Poppea at the GITIS Academic Theatre
(together with Tatiana Mitkalyova and Murat Kalovy).
In 2011 and
2012, he participated in the Creative Laboratories of Opera House
Producers under the direction of Olga Ivanova (Moscow) and in the
Laboratory-Training for Young Opera Producers (Krasnoyarsk).
Since 2011,
he has been collaborating with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko
Music Theatre. As assistant producer he took part in the
Theatre’s productions of the following operas: Mozart’s Die Zauberfloete
(director Alexander Titel, 2011) and Prokofiev’s War and Peace
(director Alexander Titel, 2012). He did productions of Elena
Langer’s opera Songs at the Well (world premiиre) and Lera
Auerbach’s opera The Blind (Russian premiиre), under the auspices
of the Laboratory of Contemporary Opera project (2012). He was
the director of the following concerts of old music: Pleasures
of Versailles, From Telemann to Sans-Souci, Under the Patronage
of the Muses (2012).
In 2012, he did
a production of Poulenc’s opera La voix humaine for the
Voronezh State Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
In 2013,
he produced The Queen of Spades for the Yakushev State Music
Theatre (Saransk) and he also produced the Christmas Concert at the
Ekaterinburg Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
He was
a recipient of the Grand prix at the NANO-opera (2013),
1st International Competition of Young Opera Producers.
