Biography
Born in Moscow. In 1981, she graduated from the conducting-chorus department of the Gnesin Music College. She started to train as a singer in 1983. In 1991, she completed her studies at the vocal faculty (G.Troyanova - L.Yaroslavtseva’s class) of the Gnesin State Music-Pedagogical Institute (today the Russian State Academy of Music).
In 1992, she was accepted as a probationer at the Bolshoi Theatre. In 1994, she was promoted to Opera Company soloist.

Also in her repertoire are the soprano parts in Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, Verdi’s Requiem and other works.

Tours

In 1992, she took part in the Bolshoi Theatre and Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa) co-production of Prince Igor.
In 1994, she sang the part of Tatiana (Eugene Onegin) for Santiago Opera (Chile).
In 1997, she sang the title role in Turandot in Basel (Switzerland).
In 1998, she sang the title role in Aida for Opera Nantes (France).
In 1999, she sang Yaroslavna in a concert performance of Prince Igor at the Santander International Festival (Spain).
In 2003, she sang the title role in Turandot for Austin Lyric Opera (Texas).
In 2004, she again appeared in this role at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Macedonia during the May Opera Evenings Festival. In the same year, she took part in the Christmas Stars Opera Festival at Estonia National Opera.
She has appeared in the USA (Carnegie Hall), Chile, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Greece, England, Austria, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia.

In 1991, she won lst prize at the Mikhail Glinka All-Union Competition of Singers.
In 1994, she won lst prize at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky International Competition.
