Ivan Fadeyev (Choreography) 
Ivan Fadeyev is the chief choreographer of the Novaya Opera Theatre. He graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) with a degree in choreography directing in 1998 (Professor Talankin’s class). Since 1994, he has been a soloist of the modern dance group of the Russian Chamber Ballet “Moscow”. He performed the leading parts in the ballets Wanderers, Wherefrom and Whereto? and others. When a first-year student, he was offered a job in the Maly Drama Theatre, where he collaborated with Stage Director Fedorov. There he staged his first production The Captain’s Daughter after Pushkin’s novel.
Since the early 1990s, he has collaborated with the best theatres of Moscow and other cities, such as the Taganka Theatre, the New Drama Theatre, the Mayakovsky Theatre, the Maly Drama Theatre, the Pushkin Theatre, the Malaya Bronnaya Theatre, the Russian Chamber Ballet “Moscow” and the Krasnodar Musical Theatre “Premiere”.
Ivan Fadeyev’s ballets buffo Bride Show, Alice, The Golden Cockerel for the Russian Chamber Ballet “Moscow” are striking, modern, powerful. He has also staged Once upon a time (the Krasnodar Musical Theatre), To Go Crazy (management), the musical The Children of the Sun (management), Joan at the Stake (the Volkov Theatre of Yaroslavl).
Ivan Fadeyev joined the Novaya Opera Theatre in 2001. He made his debut as an opera stage director with the production “Bravissimo!” He has worked on the musical offering “Maria Callas” (as stage director), “The Snow Maiden” (as choreographer), the musical fantasia based on Glinka’s opera and Pushkin’s poem Ruslan and Lyudmila (as stage director and choreographer).
Ivan Fadeyev is a candidate master in artistic gymnastics.
