Svetlana Rossiyskaya (Mezzo-soprano)
Born in Moscow. Finished musical college after the name of Ippolitov-Ivanov, choir and conducting faculty (1986), from 1989 till 1994 was a soloist of Moscow state academic chamber choir under the leadership of V. Minin. Finished musical college at Moscow conservatory in vocal singing class (1994), Academy of Professional Craftsmanship in Arts in Moscow with “opera soloist” specialty (1997), where her pedagogue was Leonid Yakimov.
In 1995 and 1996 was a probationer at “Novaya Opera”.
A soloist of “Helikon-Opera” since 1998.
Finalist of Queen Elisabeth International vocalist contest in Bruxelles (1996).
In 2001 performed Sonyetka in “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District” by D. Shostakovich in M. Rostropovich project, realized with the best vocalists of the world in Buenos-Aires, Argentina.
