Yury Rozum was born in Moscow in family of musicians. Its teachers in the Moscow conservatory were professors E.V.Malinin L.N.Naumov - favourite pupils and legendary Henry Nejgauza‘s assistants. In September, 1979 Yury Rozum became the winner of II International competition of a name of queen of Sofia in Madrid (III premium). The pianist has reached remarkable success at XXXI International competition of a name of Maria Kanals in Barcelona (1980) where it has been awarded the first premium and his rewarded by the Gold medal and a special prize for the best execution of the Spanish music. Participation at competition in Montreal (1984) has brought to it also the high award - the second premium. The pianist has been awarded special prizes of the international festivals and competitions in Tokyo, Pleven, Zagreb.Since 1991 Jury Rozum - the soloist of the Moscow philarmonic society. For the big contribution to development of musical culture his rewarded a medal " For labour valour " (1986). By results of a rating of the Moscow press of Y.Rozum it is named among ten best executors of classical music of Russia. In 2001 the musician is awarded a honorary title " the National actor of Russia ".
