Roman Perutsky known in many countries as one of the most influential Polish musicians. To his credit more than two thousand programs - solo, chamber and symphony orchestras, played around the world. For the organist, who was born, grew up and was educated in the country of the Catholic religion, the body from a young age is seen as a crucial element of the temple of culture and an indispensable component of a church service. By choosing the way a concert musician, an organist brings to his creativity element of service and missionary work. His body sounds in a special way, filling the higher meaning every note. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdansk on organ, now a professor at the Academy, has the status of Perutsky chief organist at the cathedral in Gdansk Oliva, famous for its magnificent organ. Currently Roman Perutsky is the head of the International Competition named JP Sweelinck in Gdansk, a jury member of international organ competitions in Kalterne (Italy), Opava (Czech Republic), Paris (France), St. Petersburg (Russia), as well as director of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, president of Musica Sacra and the organizer of the International Organ Festival in Olivet .
