Schedule for Gianni Bella "La Capinera" (Sparrow) - modern Opera in two acts adaptation of Giovanni Verga 2022

For the very first time since the days of the great composers Verdi and Puccini, an Italian Opera will be first performed in Russia. La Capinera, a magnificent and contemporary musical composition with the characteristics of Italian opera, weaves the original literary work together with dance and music. The Opera is composed by two of Italy’s most important and successful contemporary authors, Gianni Bella and Mogol, who have written together the most famous songs performed by Adriano Celentano during the last decades (music and lyrics). Nor can we forget Mogol is the lyric writer with whom Lucio Battisti worked in exclusive until 1980. A unique event for the world of modern music, La Capinera marks a new beginning of Italian Opera in Russia.
