Alexandra Sum (Violin soloist)
Alexandra was born in Moscow. In 2000 he entered the Vienna Conservatory and the University of Music in Graz in class outstanding teacher Boris Kushnir. In 2002, at the Vienna Conservatory competition Alexander amount was awarded the Grand Prix, this was followed by her debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus. In 2004, she triumphantly performed at the Eurovision Song Contest for young musicians in Zurich, after which she was awarded scholarships named Herbert von Karajan Karajan behalf of the Centre in Vienna. At the beginning of the 2010-2011 season Alexandra became a member of the youth program BBC Radio 3 «New Generation Artists scheme». Since then, her concerts were held with most of the bands BBC.
Alexandra speaks regularly at international festivals in Verbier, Montreux-Vevey, Gstaad, Lugano (Festival Martha Argerich), Montpellier, Besanзon, Saint-Denis, Menton, Deauville, Strasbourg, Schleswig-Holstein, Dubrovnik and others. Last season the solo concert violinist in the Louvre.
Alexandra recorded two CDs on the label Claves, which included violin concertos by Bruch and Paganini violin sonatas by Grieg.
