Irina Samoilova (Soprano)
Irina Samoilova was born in Moscow. Finished the Shaporin Music School. In 1993 she graduated from the Moscow Shnitke Music College where she studied as a choral conductor and a choral singer. From 1993 to 1999 she studied solo singing with Prof. G. Oleinichenko at the Gnessins Academy of Music.
In 1996 Irina Samoilova has got a grant of the programme "New Voices". In 1998 Irina became the Grand Prix winner both of the VI National Competition "Bello Voce" and of XXV International Singing Competition "Luis Sigall" in Chile. In 2000 she’s got the First Prize of the II International Competition "Tomaz Alkaide" in Portugal.
In 1999 Ms. Samoilova took part in the IV International St. Petersburg Festival "Musical Olympus" with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and in the XXXI International Festival in Chile (Frutiliar). The same year she performed two concerts with a symphony orchestra in Santiago.
In 2001 she joined a probation group at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and in 2002 became a soloist. In 2003 she debuted as Norina in Donizetti‘s "Don Pascuale" in "Helikon-Opera". Since April 2005 works in "Helikon-Opera".
