Bolshoi Theatre to Siberia Program
The Bolshoi Opera and Bolshoi Ballet Companies will give performances at the Novosibirsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
The tour program: the ballets
The Sleeping Beauty (10,11 and 12 November),
Legend of Love (14,15 and 16 November),
The Bright Stream (17 November at 19.00, 18 November at 12.00 and at 18.00); the operas
Eugene Onegin (new production by Dmitri Tcherniakov) – 22 and 23 November,
The Fiery Angel – 25 and 26 November. On 24 November there will be a concert by the Bolshoi Theatre chorus.
The Bolshoi Theatre’s last visit to Novosibirsk was almost thirty years ago.
The present tour is supported by the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography of the Russian Federation.
400 Company members will be taking part in the tour.

The most famous operatic of the wonder of Russia Helen Obraztsova truly mnogazhdy is gifted: it sings operatic classics, and operetta, and the folk songs, and jazz, and ancient music. It teaches, it works in the cinema (with Franco Dzefirelli, in particular, in "Carmen's opera films", "rural honor", "Ball- masquerade"). It - an example of the "person of universal". Its concerts every time become event, they await them, they are prepared previously for them. This time great singer by partner in the scene selected the ensemble of soloists "Hermitage" to A. Utkin's. Excellent selection!

Bolshoi Theatre Opera, Ballet and Orchestra Season at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London
The Bolshoi Ballet Company has toured in England more than in any other European country.
It was following the first Bolshoi Ballet season at Covent Garden in 1956 that the Company acquired international fame and in the West the very name Bolshoi Ballet became synonymous with dance excellence.
This was the Company‘s first large-scale foreign tour: it was hugely successful and became a Russian ballet legend. To mark the 50th anniversary of its celebrated first London season, the Company will be performing seven ballets for London audiences: from
Petipa and
Gorsky – via
Balanchine – to Posokhov and
Ratmansky.

Ballet Company Tour, Omsk
The Ballet Company is to give two performances of Giselle at the Panorama of Music Theatres Festival, Omsk State Music Theatre.
The Festival, founded by The Russian Association of Music Theatres is to be held under the patronage of Leonid Polezhayev, Governor of Omsk Region.
Taking part in the Festival are Theatres and guest artists from Moscow, Perm, Ekaterinburg, Moldavia, Kazakstan and Italy.
The Bolshoi Theatre performances are planned as a grand finale to the Festival which is being held for the first time.
