Itamar Zorman (Violin soloist)

Named press the "true virtuoso of emotions", violinist Itamar Zorman has won the second prize and the silver medal of the XIV International Contest of PI Tchaikovsky (with S. DOGADIN, the first prize was not awarded). Earlier, musician and won the special prize for best performance of Mozart's concert at the International Violin Competition in Freiburg (Germany, 2010) and the winner of the contest held the Juilliard School of Music (New York, 2011).

Itamar Zorman performed as a soloist with the American Symphony Orchestra (at Carnegie Hall, New York) and the Juilliard Orchestra under James De Priest (at Avery Fisher Hall, New York), Honored Russian team Academic Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra Mariinsky Theatre under Valery Gergiev, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra and the Israel Sinfonietta, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Baden-Baden, the Chamber Orchestra of South-West Germany, the Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio and others. His concerts were broadcasted live on the radio in Israel, the USA, Austria, Russia and France. Violinist participated in the program «Young Artist Showcase» most popular American classical music radio station WQXR, speaking at Radio France Festival in Montpellier and Music Festival in Marlboro (Vermont, USA).

With chamber programs Itamar Zorman performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York City (halls Zankel Hall and Weill Recital Hall) and the Kennedy Center in Washington. Is one of the founders of Israeli Chamber Project, which over the past seasons with great success on tour in Israel and the U.S.. He is also a member of the Piano Trio «Lysander», which has recently (2011) was awarded the Grand Prix at the prestigious competition for young musicians, conducted annually by the Association of Chamber Music Ellis Coleman (USA).

Itamar Zorman was born in Tel Aviv in a musical family. He studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music in N. Milo and H. Shacham, and then at the Juilliard School in New York, in P. Mann, and C. Rosenberg, and Manhattan's High School of Music. Now violinist continues training with Sylvia Rosenberg at the Juilliard School.

Fellow American Israel Cultural Foundation and the Foundation for Ilona Feher. Plays the violin by Pietro Guarneri in 1737 from the private collection of Yehuda Zisapelya
