International Opera Singers Competition of Galina Vishnevskaya was organized by the great Russian singer in 2006 to support young singers on their professional career. In May - June this year, the competition jury is headed by artistic director of the Opera Centre Olga Rostropovich, was held for the fifth time. Applications for participation in it sent more than 200 singers in finalzhe came just 7 people, which indicates a very high level of competition and the demands of the international jury, which traditionally includes not only the star of the world stage - and this year the members of the jury were Irina Bogachyova, Maria Guleghina, Badri Maisuradze - but also the heads of major theaters and artistic agencies worldwide.
