"Everything that has no swing - does not make sense " - German jazz pianist Andrew Germlin could easily subscribe to the words of the legendary Duke Ellington. Since then , as he , a four , a father was playing Benny Goodman tunes , this music became everything to him . A quarter century ago , graduated from the Higher School of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin , he organized the Swing Dance Orchestra. At the first rehearsal the musicians gathered in an abandoned garage and with maniacal persistence sought closer to the sound of classic swing . Germlin now lives in a house full of furniture of the early twentieth , at concerts and he and his musicians dressed in the fashion of the 1930s and even singing into a microphone , decorated in retro style. Swing Dance Orchestras successfully performed in different countries , proving that swing today is not only nostalgic feelings . He plays in churches and five star hotels in the official ceremonies and during marches . Sam Anlrey Germlin values most right to be themselves , be it political views or musical tastes : " I like to communicate with different audiences. Play all the time in large halls bored. But there is no good and is limited to performances in Berlin traktirchikah sooty . Fortunately, I have not had to adapt. I've always played what I wanted »(Der Freitag).
