Capris Quartet (Ensemble) “Capris Quartet” has been created by Professor of the Gnesins Music Academy V.A.Berlinsky in 1995. In 1996 musicians (in structure of “Elena-Quartet”) have received the Diploma and the premium “Hope” at IV International Competition of String Quartets named after D.D.Shostakovich (St.-Petersburg). Since 1998 the ensemble in the updated structure actively goes on tour in Russia and abroad.
For this time its repertoir including masterpieces of a quartet genre of the West-European and Russian composers (Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Debussy, Bartok, Borodin, Shostakovich) has considerably extended.
In March, 2001, there was the debut of the collective. It took place in the Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory within the limits of festival “Quartet Art”.
In concerts of the quartet many musicians, among them—pianists M.Gambarjan, G.Sidorenko, O.Andrjushchenko, clarnetist A.Fedotov willingly act.
