Sergei Tararin (Conductor)

Sergey Petrovich Tararin (b. 18 July 1972) — Russian conductor, pianist, organist.

Conductor leads active concert activities both in Russia and abroad. In 1999-2006 he was the chief conductor of Saint Petersburg State Children’s Musical Theatre „Carambole“. Performance of this theatre „Mary Poppins, Goodbye“ was nominated for the highest National Theatre Award of Russia The Golden Mask (2002-2003).

In 2005-2008 worked as a guest conductor of Orquesta Sinfonica San Luis Potosi (Mexico). Compositions by L. Kozeluch, J. Haydn, W. Mozart, F. Schubert, C.-M. Weber, J. Sibelius, P. Tchaikovsky, I. Stravinsky, A. Khachaturian, D. Shostakovich were executed at the con-certs. In 2004-2008 worked with the orchestra of State Academic Capella, with Popular Classical Music Orchestra (Saint Petersburg), with „Viva Vivaldi“ and „Stravaganza“ orchestras (Mexico City), conducted at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after N. Rimsky-Korsakov (Saint Petersburg) and at the Komi Republic Opera and Ballet Theatre (Syktyvkar).

Since 2008 — chief conductor of State Chamber Orchestra San Luis Potosi (Mexico City). Since concert season 2009-2010 —  resident conductor of Moscow City Symphony - Russian Philharmonic.

Sergey Tararin performs as a pianist, organist and accompanist (Russia, Germany, Estonia, Mexico). His repertoire includes symphonic composi-tions by Russian and foreign composers; operas and musicals: G. F. Handel Acis and Galatea, W. Mozart The Marriage of Figaro, P. Tchaikovsky Evgeny Onegin, Iolanta, J. Strauss Die Fledermaus, M. Rodgers The Sound of Music, musical Beauty and the Beast, parts from operas and operettas.

Is awarded the Medal for the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg (2004).
