Kimmo Viskari (Set Designer)
In 1987, graduated from the University of Art and Design Helsinki and since has worked as a stage, costume and graphic designer, as an exhibition architect and as an untenured teacher in the University of Art and Design Helsinki (Departments of Design for Theatre, Film and Television, and of Film and Television).
His stage and costume design projects in the past few years have included The Lovers in Turku Castle for the Turku Music Festival, the film Asphalto by Ilppo Pohjola, the production of Sarah Kane‘s 4.48 Psychosis at the Finnish National Theatre.
For the Savonlinna Opera Festival he has done the stage and costume designs for Gounod‘s Faust (1999) and Sallinen‘s The Horseman (2005), for Tampere Opera Carmen (2003), and for the Finnish National Opera Puccini‘s La fanciulla del West (2001) and Tchaikovsky‘s The Queen of Spades (2005), and the costumes for Einojuhani Rautavaara‘s Rasputin (2003, world premiere).
