Maria Maksakova (Soprano)

Born on the 24th of July, 1977 in Munich in artistic family.

1995 Graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory (piano).
2000 graduated with honours from the Russian Academy of Music named after Gnessins. Her studies majoring in vocal singing were supervised by Professor N. D. Shpiller.
2004 Master degree of Russian Music Academy, prof. A. Miglau class.

2000 Laureate of the Moscow International Opera Festival.
2002 diploma-winner of the II Obraztsova International Competition.
2006 diploma-winner of the XIX Sobinov International Competition.
2006 Laureate of the International Competition of Young Performers in Finland.

Maria Maksakova has performed the following parts:

Rosina (The Barber of Seville) Rossini, Music Academy Opera Theatre;
Leila (The Pearl Catchers), Bizet, Novaya Opera;
Ksenia (Boris Godunov) Moussorgsky, Novaya Opera;
Snow Maiden (The Snow Maiden), Rimsky-Korsakov, Novaya Opera;
Walter (Walli) Catalani, Novaya Opera;
Knjazna (Russalka) Dvorak, Helikon Opera;
Marfa (The Tsar’s bride) Rimsky-Korsakov, Helikon Opera;
Oscar (Ball-Masquerade) Verdi, The Bolshoi Theatre
Musetta (La Boheme) Puccini, The Bolshoi Theatre;

Maksakova‘s extensive chamber repertoire includes «The Circle of Songs» by Schumann, romances by Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov and other composers. This program is performed by Maria Maksakova on her concert tours to Japan, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania and Russia.

Was on probation in Italy under supervision of Mivako Matsumoto and Katia Ricciarelli.

Debuted in "Helikon-Opera" in 2006 as Foreign Princess in "Russalka" by A. Dvorak.
